    Dan Bales is the visionary artist behind Harmonic Drift, a captivating mobile sound art installation that merges homemade instruments and found-object creations into a mesmerizing symphony, all underpinned by the enchanting tunings of Balinese gamelan. A true renaissance man, Dan wears multiple hats as an instrument builder, composer, musician, and an all-around creative extraordinaire, committed to sharing the transformative power of music with all walks of life. His passion lies in the realm of improvised music, where he uncovers the boundless joy that arises from the act of collective creation.

    DIRECTOR, WAYANG EARTH?!

    Katie Harrell is a multifaceted artist and musician whose creative journey has been profoundly shaped by her deep immersion in Balinese music, dance, and shadow puppetry. Katie's artistic odyssey into shadow puppetry began as a Fulbright Researcher in Bali, immersed in the study of traditional Balinese vocal music, where she was introduced to the rich vocal music tradition of traditional Balinese shadow theater. Katie’s many other talents shine through in “Wayang Earth?!,” such as her love for storytelling, improvization, voice acting, comedy, and graphic design.
